Liverpool Team of the 80s: Grobbelaar Neal Hansen Thompson Kennedy Souness Kennedy Barnes Beardsley Rush Dalglish Subs: Lawrenson, McDermott, Aldridge
Kenny's goal how clever he was to head it off the Ipswich player back in to his path ..Genius
Watching this is like watching conference football on a bad day. Oh how the game has changed except players who played then say it hasn’t. Hmm... can’t watch anymore. As you were.
I didn't know enough about football back in the day but Rushie's goal against Millwall shows his quiet brilliance. He stepped across the defender to get his hips in the way and checked the guy to knock him back so he couldn't follow the turn all while making the turn and sending the ball where it needed to go. It is simple in essence but the details are everything and he was brilliant at it.
50:22 Steve Nicol looking at his watch 🤣
Racists at 6.35 in the crowd are nobs. That’s the ox’s dad there calling nigger.
Klopp's Liverpool looks incredibly similar. History is repeating.
Good to see chamberlains dad playing at anfield
Martin Tyler should be knighted. What a legend!
Watch brasilians teams at the 80s and you'll see the tecnical difference between us! Respect from Brazil!
Brazilian football is more slower so you have more time on the ball and more time to pick passes
How good were pro players inthe 80s compared to semi pro players or amateurs, still a big difference like today’s players?
Best player from Liverpool was, .....steve heighway
Cascarino- millwall legend
The most underrated commentator alan parry
Such dull, unimaginative, yawn inducing football though. I guess that's to be expected when you have a team full of Englishmen, Scots, and Irishmen
Are u nutz
Much better football than one that played now.
Its a totally different game than today. This is proper football. Todays game is the one that boring and unimaginative with players like ronaldo celebrated for being average
Its time to watch the proper men play where diving wasn't an art but was just about
old school celebrations after scoring are hilarious
there something liverpool team of the 80 did that utd never did in the 90s tht is win champion leagues yes they won one but not two. i still think is side is still better than any team in football they won in europe and and england if english teams didnt get ban for 5 years i think liverpool would of won more than two.
It's like watching league one football these days 😴
games wee faster in those days in the 80s and 90s. you had scappy games. but trust me there were world class ua-cam.com/video/JZHmsackU6c/v-deo.html

Liverpool team of the eighties, come on everybody in Liverpool KNOWS IT WAS EVERTON F.C. HALF THE POSTS, are probably not from Liverpool.
+mind your business Much as it annoys me, Liverpool were the team of the 80s by light years. The idea that Everton were better is absurd; Liverpool were the best in Europe, if not the world.
mind your business liverpool won two European cups in the 80s and they won more league titles than everton in the 80s. Liverpool were the best team in the 80s
mind your business Everton win 2 league titles and an fa cup in the 80’s Liverpool won 6 league titles 2 European cups 2 fa cups and 4 league cups . Everton team of the 80’s lol Man your delusional
Waaa haaa haa
let's play a game of let's pretend...
yeah I think Trappatoni's Juventus were the second best team of the 80's,
A big thank you first up for this upload. I was a kid back in the 80s, and Liverpool were my love as they are now; having watched this particular game compared to how Liverpool are currently playing under Brendan Rodgers, I see a lot of similarities (including at times the shaky defence!). It's surreal when you think this was 25 years ago, yet to some extent to me, it feels like yesteryear. Liverpool have big characters back then in a lot of positions; not the most skillful, but match-winners and were not afraid of getting stuck in. I enjoyed Alan Parry's commentary along with Jimmy Greaves' summary. My guess is as this was pre-Sky and Premier League, this might have been screened on ITV as Big Match Sunday, live. Even as an armchair viewer, a big miss for me compared to now is when the so-called big teams visit and play at places like the New Den where you know you're going to be up against it from their supporters the moment you walk on to the pitch. There are fibres that were there back then that remain at present within our game, but on the other hand, it has evolved, for the good and for the not so good. One thing for certain, it's great to reminisce the old times - I only wish Liverpool could win a Premier League title in the near future. Cheers
WE DID IT MATEEE
Barnes... What a player!
